Kanye West announces presidential run, gets support

Noida : Rapper Kanye West announced that he is running for President in 2020.

On Saturday, July 4, the 43 year old rapper took to Twitter to make a big announcement.

“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION,” the rapper wrote.



Kim Kardashian, retweeted her husband’s message.

According to a source, “Kanye has been planning this for years and Kim has been supportive. Kanye is quite enthusiastic about arts and education and wants to support in any way he can.”

However, it is not clear if Kanye West was serious about competing for the presidency four months before the November 3 election or if he had filed any official papers for the sme.

Following his 4th of July announcement, many celebrities took to social media to support Kanye.

“You have my full support,” the CEO of electric-car maker Elon Musk tweeted.



“I support this mission @kanyewest,” Rose McGowan tweeted, before asking, “Do you think Kanye’s doing it to split votes or just be an anarchist?



Comedian Billy Eichner wrote, “Excited to announce I’m running for President….of SAG!!!!!” while Sarah Paulson responded, “Definitely voting for you.”
