Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma: Dilip Joshi breaks silence over reports of quitting the show
New Delhi : Actor Dilip Joshi, also known as Jethalal on the famous TV show – Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, cleared the air over the news circulating on social media platforms about his exit from the show after 18 glorious years.
In past couple of days, social media was filled with reports claiming that the makers have decided to reduce the screen presence of Jethalal’s character on the show and will now be giving more time to focus on the other families, following which Dilip Joshi is not happy and has decided to make an exit. However, the actor rejected the claims made on social media via a press conference.
Dilip Joshi said, "These days people often write anything on social media to gain views and make an earning with good numbers, however, it is the moral responsibility of all including the full time media houses to verify the news before releasing it to the public. (Watch VIDEO)
"It's been a wonderful journey of 18 years to be associated with the comedy show and I will continue my part on the show without any doubt," he added.
The rumours picked up after the makers introduced a new Rajasthani family in the show. The family includes Ratan Singh Binjola, his wife Roopa, and their two children, Veer and Bansri. Actor Kuldeep Gaur plays the role of Ratan Singh Binjola, while Dharti Bhatt essays the character of his wife, Roopa. The younger members of the family are played by Akshay Sehrawat, who essays Veer, and Mahi Bhadra, who plays Bansri.
