Covidiots in India: Kolkata woman licks cop for stopping her on road during lockdown

Kolkata : Despite repeated reminders and measures announced by the government, it looks like most people in India have failed to get the seriousness of the situation the country is facing due to coronavirus outbreak.

In one such incident, a young woman in Kolkata was seen crossing her limits as she licked the uniform of a policeman who stopped her cab during the lockdown period in India.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the clip, the policeman can be seen stopping the woman’s vehicle in the Salt Lake area, to check if the vehicle is out in emergency conditions or not. Anguished over the policeman act, the woman comes out of the car and starts abusing the official on duty.

While the policeman is seen explaining the lockdown, the woman suddenly rushes towards him and licks his shirt. Check the viral video below:

Meanwhile, a man accompanying the woman can be seen shouting at her to stay calm with the policemen.

The woman can be seen making the claims that she was going to buy the medicines; she lives alone and this is the reason she has to move out of the house. But, the cops claim that she was not carrying any prescription to support her claims.

"I am unwell. I live alone. If I don’t go to the medicine shop, who will get the medicines for me?" she shouted in Hindi.

The woman was later arrested along with the accompanying man and the driver of the cab. An officer of the Bidhannagar commissionerate said the incident had left cops ‘shocked’.

"It is a disturbing incident. There could be disagreement, but no one has the right to do this to those who are risking their lives to keep others safe," the officer told The Telegraph.
