Delhi Riots: Umar Khalid held by Special Cell for alleged conspiracy

New Delhi : Delhi Riots 2020: Former JNU student Umar Khalid has been arrested by the special cell on Sunday late night. He is charged with stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act for alleged conspiracy in the riots that had rocked northeast Delhi this February, killing over 50 people.

The cops have claimed of getting hands on 'crucial evidences' against Umar Khalid, including his movement during the riots.

Interestingly, Khalid is already facing the sedition charges for alleged anti-national slogans he raised four years ago.

He will be produced in court on Monday noon.
