Indian woman footballer Poonam Chauhan passes away

Varanasi : Deadly disease Dengue killed India's international footballer Poonam Chauhan in Varanasi. She had represented India at several international platforms and captain of women football team in Uttar Pradesh.

Poonam had C level license for coaching, but was living an unemployed life for a long-time. 

In search of a settled career, it is believed that she had knocked every possible door for a suitable job; but she only received disappointment from everywhere.

She was running ill from past one week and was admitted to hospital on Monday. Her platelets dropped suddenly on Tuesday, resulting in her death.

According to a report, her father says that many officials and players came to see her in the hospital and also offered help. But doctors failed to save her life.
