Denied permission to land chopper in West Bengal, Yogi Adityanath slams Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata : Denied permission to land chopper for a rally in the West Bengal, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lashed out at the Trinamool Congress and tagged the party as "anti-people". He also roasted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee saying she is left with only a few days of power in the state.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was scheduled to hold "Ganatantra Bachao Rally" in Balurghat in South Dinajpur district. The Yogi Adityanath office claimed that the denial to land chopper near the venue came without any prior notice.

"The TMC government didn't allow me to come and meet you all. That is why I had to resort to Digital India of Modi-ji to address you. This TMC government is anti-people, anti-democratic and have compromised with national security," Mr Adityanath said.

This has happened for the second time recently when a BJP leader's chopper has been denied to land in the West Bengal.

Earlier this month, BJP chief Amit Shah's chopper was denied permission to land in chopper. The state government said the landing facilities were inadequate at the Malda airstrip. The BJP chief was forced to opt for a private helipad.
