Dr K.A. Paul Demands ₹1 Crore Compensation for Victims of Sigachi Pharma Blast Near Hyderabad

New Delhi : The World’s Most Popular Evangelist and  Global Peace Activist Dr. K.A. Paul has strongly condemned the negligence of the management of Sigachi Pharmaceutical Chemical Company, following a devastating blast near Hyderabad that claimed over 12 lives and left dozens injured on Monday.

Dr. Paul, who visited the accident site in Sangareddy district, met families of the deceased and pledged his personal support, including free education for affected children. He criticized the routine practice of offering meagre compensation and demanded at least ₹1 crore for each victim’s family from the company.

“In the West, companies pay millions or even billions in damages after such tragedies. Here, lives are valued at just a few lakh rupees,” Dr Paul said, calling the situation “very unfair.”

He stressed the need for a thorough investigation into the incident to prevent future industrial disasters, drawing parallels to a similar blast in Visakhapatnam last year which, he said, led to no significant consequences for those responsible.

Dr. Paul further announced his intention to approach the courts, alleging a violation of Article 14 of the Constitution, and vowed to seek accountability and legal action against the company’s owners and management.

While praising the swift response of the Telangana government, police, fire services, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Dr. Paul also launched a political attack on BRS MLA Harish Rao, accusing him of politicizing the tragedy.

“One man spends ₹6,000 crore on a wedding, while others’ lives are valued at ₹6,000. This must change,” he added, calling for stricter corporate accountability and justice for the victims’ families.

The government has yet announced 2 lakh rupees for each victim  an official compensation as rescue operations and an investigation gets underway into the causes of the fatal explosion.
