New Delhi : In good news for India, the fresh coronavirus cases continued to dip in the nation for the ninth consecutive week.

This week India registered 11,400 new cases, 28 per cent less than the previous week's tally of 15,820.

It must be noted that this was the lowest number of fresh cases reported in India since April It must be noted that this was the lowest number of fresh cases reported in India since April 2020.

Active cases of the virus have also declined steadily. There are currently around 15,800 active cases of the coronavirus in India.

India had registered peak of the third wave on January 23 this year.
