India records over 22,000 cases in 24 hours, highest in a single day

New Delhi : Coronavirus cases in India are continuously on a rise with India striking another high, 22,000 new coronavirus cases have been registered in last 24 hours, according to the data provided by the health ministry of India.

This was the second consecutive day when the new cases in India were above 20,000. The total number of positive coronavirus cases have climbed to 6,48,316 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the recovery rate has also gone up marginally and stands above 60%. Till Saturday (July 4), the total number of active cases in India are 2,35,433 and the total number of recoveries are 3,94,226.

Going by the figures, more than 60.80% people have recovered so far.

ICMR has noted that more than 95,00,000 samples have been tested till date.
