Indian culture, spirituality is gaining popularity globally: PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed nation on Sunday through the 80th edition of his monthly radio programme "Mann Ki Baat" at 11 am. He spoke about how Indian Athletes have made India proud in the Olympics and Paralympic Games 2021. Also, mentioning about Indian culture getting global recognition.

"Every medal is special. When India won a Medal in Hockey, the nation rejoiced. And, Major Dhyan Chand Ji would have been so happy.

"This year we won an Olympic medal in hockey after 40yrs. You can imagine how happy Major Dhyan Chand must be today. We're seeing love for sports in the youth today. This passion for sports is the greatest tribute to Major Dhyan Chand," said PM Modi.

Talking about his radio show Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi said that the show is no longer restricted to India. Instead, people across the world are talking about it. "I receive messages from Indians based abroad," he said.

"If you know about people who are doing commendable work to popularise Sanskrit, write about them on social media using Celebrating Sanskrit," he added.
