Kamala Mills Fire: '1 Above' owners Kripesh and Jigar Sanghvi arrested

Mumbai : After 12 days of being on the run, '1 Above' owners Kripesh and Jigar Sanghavi have been arrested by the cops. A total of 14 people were killed in the deadly blaze on December 29.

The two owners were picked from a hotel in Bandra, Mumbai.

They were tracked with the active mobile numbers, revealed by Juhu hotelier Vishal Karia during police questioning.

Earlier, the police had formed four teams to trace the four absconding accused booked in connection with the Kamala Mills fire case.

A fire had broken out in Mojo’s Bistro and spread to the adjoining 1Above which had also injured 55 people in the incident.

While co-owner, Yug Pathak, of Mojo’s Bistro is behind bars, his partner Yug Tuli and one of the 1Above owners — Abhijit Mankar — are on the run.

The owners have been booked under section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian penal code (IPC).

As the cops are looking for other culprits, there is no sign of them leaving the nation.
