Lockdown extended till May 31; Red, Green and Orange zones to be decided by states

New Delhi : The lockdown in India due to coronavirus has been extended till May 31; the movement of people will be allowed during the daytime.

The Centre has continued suspension of air travel and metro rail, malls and gyms and big gatherings. The government has also advised that people above the age of 60 and children below the age of 10 must remain inside the home.

In a major power to the states, the governments will be allowed to decide on Green, Red and Orange zones in their jurisdiction. This was one of the key demand of Chief Ministers from PM during their video conference.
