Mask up Delhi: Biggest spike in coronavirus cases in last 7 months

New Delhi : With 2,726 new coronavirus cases in Delhi on Thursday, the national capital has reported a biggest spike in last seven months. Six people have also lost their lives due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. 

With the fresh cases and fatalities, Delhi’s infection count increased to 19,78,266 and the death toll rose to 26,357, according to official data.

On Wednesday, the authorities had announced a fine of Rs 500 on people not wearing masks in public places. The active case load of Delhi has reached to 8,840 which is highest in six months.

The rule, however, is not applicable on people sitting inside a four-wheeler.
