Mumbai : Students from various colleges including IIT Bombay are protesting outside university of Mumbai after alleged murder of Rohith Vemula.

In Pune, FTII students are on a day-long hunger strike over suspension of five Dalit students.

Rohith, one of those five Dalit students, was found hanging in university from where he was banned for about two weeks.

Rohith and his four friends were suspended from the University after they allegedly beaten up a leader from BJP student wing.

Four months ago they had been cleared by University; but after Bandaru’s letter, the decision got reversed for two week suspension of the students.

They say he committed a suicide but his friends are claiming it to be murder.
