May you become Prime Minister again: Mulayam Singh to PM Modi

New Delhi : Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday backed Narendra Modi and wished him another term as the Prime Minister of India.

Speaking at the Lok Sabha on the last day of the session, Yadav said, “I want to congratulate the Prime Minister for trying to take everyone ahead. PM Modi has a clean record. Hope to see the same MPs in Lok Sabha and hope that PM Modi returns as PM in 2019.”

Responding to Mulayam Singh Yadav, Prime Minister Narendra Modi smiled at him at joined his both hands as a gesture of gratitude.

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, however, disagreed to Mr Singh's comment and said, “I disagree with him. But Mulayam Singh Yadav Ji has a role in politics and I respect his opinion.”

Showing gratitude towards Yadav, PM Modi, in his valedictory speech in the Lok Sabha: “Mulayam Singh Yadav has already praised the government. He has blessed our government.”
