Nabha Jailbreak: Two cars impounded, one suspect held in Shamli

New Delhi : One accused in Nabha jailbreak has been arrested from Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh. Two cars have also been impounded by the cops with heavy arms and ammunition.

Ajay Sharms, Shamli Superintendent of Police, has confirmed that the man has been arrested during checking at Kairana. He has been identified as Parvinder Singh from Jalandhar and being questioned from police.

"Accused Parminder has been arrested with huge cache of arms, and he has confessed to his crime. There was a high alert in Uttar Pradesh since the morning, and we had information that accused might try to enter Nepal. During checking, we nabbed him," Additional Director General (ADG) Daljeet Singh Choudhary told news agency ANI.

While, a Fortuner car was seized with ammunition, another Verna car has been impounded from Kaithal with multiple number plates and police costumes.

The investigation is on.
