Narendra Modi turns 68, to celebrate birthday in Varanasi

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 68 on Monday. He will be celebrating his birthday in Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency. The reports claim that he will be spending time with children from schools in the districts.

Extending the celebrations, PM Modi will also visit Jayapur, Nagepur and Kakrahia – villages adopted by him. It has been learned that a short film on Narendra Modi's life will be screened during the events.

On Tuesday, PM Modi will pay a visit to Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Political leaders extended their wished to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on micro-blogging website. President Ram Nath Kovind, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Miss World Manushi Chillar, former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and Bollywood actor Anupam Kher are among the well wishers.

Prime Minister Modi was born in Vadnagar in Gujarat on September 17, 1950. He rose from being a tea seller to the Prime Minister of the country.
