New update in Nikki murder case: Sahil married Nikki in 2020, killed her for second marriage, say cops

New Delhi : In a new update in Nikki Yadav murder case, it has been learned that Sahil Gehlot had married her in 2020. Apparently, she has been murdered because Nikhil wanted to go for a second marriage. Earlier, it was reported that Sahil had murdered her on the day of his wedding to another woman after 3 hour fight over the issue.

The cops have now claimed that Nikki and Sahil got married in October 2020 at Arya Samaj Temple in Uttar Pradesh's Noida. Sahil's family connection has also been developed in the matter with claims that they were unhappy with the marriage and wanted her to go away from Sahil’s life.

On Friday, Delhi Police's crime branch arrested Sahil’s father, Virender Singh, brother Anish and Naveen and friends Lokesh and Amar after it was developed that Sahil's family and friends are also involved in the murder.

According to a report, Sahil’s family fixed his marriage with another woman in December 2022 and Nikki was kept in dark about the marriage. The cops have recovered a wedding certificate of Sahil and Nikki during accused's police remand.

It has also been claimed that Sahil’s cousin brother and a friend helped him in hiding Nikki’s body in a fridge at his family own dhaba, which is about 700 metres away from his parents' house.

Some reports have also claimed that Nikki was threatening him off for filing a legal case if he goes ahead with the second marriage. The murder came to light on the day of Valentine’s Day, however, she was murdered on February 10th.

Meanwhile, Sahil's new bride has gone back to her parents' home and has refused to come to Sahil’s house.
