Petrol prices go up by Rs 3.13, diesel shoots up by Rs 2.71 per litre

New Delhi : On a day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government completes one year of being elected as the major party, petrol and diesel prices witnessed a hike of Rs 3.13 and Rs 2.71 respectively. This was second hike in last 15 days.

  • Petrol and Diesel prices hiked by Rs 3.13 and Rs 2.71 per litre respectively

  • New prices will be effective from May 16

  • On May 1, the prices were hiked by Rs 3.96 and Rs 2.37 per litre for petrol and diesel respectively

  • New price in Delhi: Petrol - Rs 66.29, Diesel - Rs 52.28 per litre

  • The hike came due to steep hike in international oil prices
