Varanasi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi's entry to an event to honour sanitation workers in Varanasi won many hearts as he ditched a chair placed for him and sat with the workers on the ground.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared the clip from the event and said, "worth a million words."

In the video, PM Narendra Modi arrives to greet the sanitation workers who worked at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttar Pradesh. A chair was placed for the PM that he gave to the security guard and went to sit on the ground and called sanitation workers to sit besides him.

The Kashi Viswanath Corridor project was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week in his constituency Varanasi in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh.

PM Modi performed various rituals and prayers as he launched the first phase of the project which includes a total of 23 buildings.
