New Delhi : President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday offered his prayers at the famous Kamakhya Devi temple in Guwahati; he was accompanied by the first lady Savita Kovind.

Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and state Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary were also present at the temple with the president.

Mr. Kovind performed puja and spent about 45 minutes in the temple premises.

Earlier, he was given a grand welcome by Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati.



President Ram Nath Kovind is on a three-day visit to Assam and he will be visiting Kaziranga national park too for jeep safari and elephant safari.
