Punjab : Chief Minister designate Bhagwant Mann on Saturday met the governor to stake claim to form the government in Punjab. He has handed over the letter of support from AAP MLAs to the governor.

On Friday, Bhagwant Mann was selected as the AAP Legislature Party leader after a meeting in Mohali.

The swearing-in ceremony has been scheduled for March 16. He will take oath as the next CM at 12:30 pm at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, in Nawanshahr district.

It has been learned that Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal will also be present at the swearing-in ceremony.

AAP has won 92 seats in 117-member Punjab Assembly.
