Ravi Kundli, State President, RPI (Athawale), Haryana reaffirms commitment to peace, equality and social justice on Buddha Purnima

New Delhi : On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, Advocate Ravi (Sonu) Kundli, Haryana State President of the Republican Party of India (Athawale), extended greetings to the people of Haryana and the nation. He said the teachings of Gautam Buddha continue to hold significance in today’s society, especially in promoting social harmony and justice.

He stated that Buddha’s values—peace, compassion, and non-violence—are essential for understanding the importance of equality and dignity in society, particularly for those who have faced discrimination and injustice for generations.

Advocate Ravi (Sonu) Kundli, highlighted the close connection between the thoughts of Gautam Buddha and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He said Dr. Ambedkar’s decision to adopt Buddhism in 1956 was a historic stand against social inequality and is still seen as a symbol of dignity and liberation for the Dalit community.

“Dr. Ambedkar’s conversion was not just spiritual—it was a strong message for social change. It showed that peaceful paths exist to challenge injustice and discrimination,” he said.

He added that the Republican Party of India (Athawale) is working continuously in Haryana to protect the rights of the Dalit community and is committed to advancing social change and equality.

Ravi Kundli said that in a time when division and hostility are growing in society, it is necessary to adopt the ideas of Buddha to encourage dialogue and mutual respect. He urged the youth to read, understand, and follow the thoughts of Gautam Buddha and Dr. Ambedkar in their lives.

He called on young people to strengthen the values of social justice, equality, and non-violence, and to contribute actively to building a fair and inclusive society.
