Seven Congress members suspended from Lok Sabha for remaining budget session

New Delhi : Seven Congress MPs have been suspended from the Parliament for the remaining budget session for their unruly behavior and misconduct inside the house.

BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi, who was on the chair, said that the Congress members have behaved in a manner that had never happened before in the Parliament. 

She named the Congress members – Gaurav Gogoi, TN Prathapan, Dean Kuriakose, R Unnithan, Manickam Tagore, Benny Behnan and Gurjeet Singh Aujla.

Parliamentary affairs minister Prahlad Joshi moved a resolution to suspend the members for the remaining Budget Session.

After their suspension, the house was adjourned for the day.
