Ahmedabad : As Gujarat reels under major floods, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took stock of the situation with an aerial survey. Here is the video of him keeping an eye on the natural disaster that has forced many to leave the place and migrate to a safer one.

Post aerial survey, PM Narendra Modi announced a financial aid of Rs 500 crores to the state at the initial phase. He also announced Rs 2 lakh compensation to the kin of the 83 people who have died and Rs 50,000 to the injured.

Modi, who flew over Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Patan districts of North Gujarat, said a team of the Union Urban Development and Rural Development Ministries would visit the state to assess the extent of damage and suggest short-term as well as long-term measures.
