AAP calls Delhi Police man 'BJP spokesperson' after claims of Shaheen Bagh shooter

AAP calls Delhi Police man 'BJP spokesperson' after claims of Shaheen Bagh shooter

New Delhi : Aam Aadmi Party has tagged the Delhi Police officer as 'BJP spokesperson' after he claimed that the arrested Shaheen Bagh shooter was a primary member of AAP. The party claimed that this is all a conspiracy of BJP and the Delhi Police is working on the orders of Union Minister Amit Shah.

Senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh has also claimed that they will be sending a legal notice to the police officer and also file a complaint against him in the Election Commission.

With just three days left in the crucial Delhi Assembly Elections, the Delhi Police claims came as a shocker to the Aam Aadmi Party and advantage to the Bharatiya Janata Party which had been continuously claiming that the unrest in Delhi is a result of AAP strategic moves.

The cops claimed that the photos found in the mobile of shooter are around 1 year old when he and his father had officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party. The actual date of picture is being investigated.

Sanjay Singh accused the Delhi Police of leaking information before completion of investigation, saying this is a clear case of violation on Model Code of Conduct. He said, "Amit Shah is using all kinds of tactics and conspiracies... You (the police) are interfering in the election. In that case, the DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) should wear a lotus."

The police, he said were acting like “kathputli (puppets) of the BJP”. "BJP spokesperson Rajesh Deo, who is by mistake the DCP of Crime Branch is giving statements," he added.

Meanwhile, BJP again slammed AAP and claimed that the ruling party in Delhi is trying to create riots in the national capital.

Prakash Javadekar said AAP was "trying to cause riots in Delhi". "Sanjay Singh got this man to join the party as he wanted to incite the young partymen," he added.
