Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigns from his post, grand alliance ends

New Delhi : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday resigned from his post, submitting his papers to Bihar governor K N Tripathi.

"Amid ongoing circumstances in Bihar government, it became impossible to run the grand alliance in the state," said Nitish Kumar after resigning from his post.

Mr Kumar blamed Tejashwi Yadav for not explaining himself over the ongoing controversies, leading to an imbalance in the government.

"It is against my laws to head a government where there is no clarity from their members," he added.

The Governor has accepted Nitish Kumar's resignation. However, he maintained silence over the future steps which he might be planning in the coming days.
