On her way to jail, Sasikala makes a pit stop at Jayalalithaa memorial

Chennai : AIADMK chief VK Sasikala on Wednesday surrendered before Bengaluru court after being found guilty in a DA case; the leader, while on her way to the jail, made a pit stop at J Jayalalithaa memorial and the Ramapuram residence of party founder M G Ramachandran.

The 62-year-old leader went to surrender after Supreme Court on Wednesday morning rejected her plea seeking more time to surrender after it upheld her conviction in a disproportionate assets case by a trial court.

A bench headed by Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose declined the plea as senior counsel K.T.S. Tulsi mentioned it before the court.

Sasikala, her two relatives and late J Jayalalithaa were pronounced guilty in the disproportionate assets case.
