Punjab : Congress is yet to announce the name of CM candidate for upcoming Punjab elections and the party chief Navjot Singh Sidhu has said that the people will decide their CM candidate and not the party high command.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said, "People of Punjab will decide who will be the CM. Who told you that the (Congress) high command would make the CM?"

Answering a question on from which party Navjot Singh Sidhu will contest the elections, he replied, "Punjab is not the property of an individual. I will contest from Punjab".

Navjot Singh Sidhu was addressing a press conference on 'Punjab Model' in Chandigarh. However, the picture of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and other Punjab Congress leaders was missing from the banners.
