Counting of votes underway in Rajasthan

Jaipur : The counting of votes for 199 seats in the Rajasthan Assembly elections began on Tuesday amid tight security, a poll official said.

The results will seal the fate of 2,274 candidates who were in the fray in the December 7 polls.

The candidate of the Ramgarh seat in Alwar district died, postponing the polling on one seat.

A party will require 100 seats to form a government in the state.

Exit polls have announced a decisive victory for the Congress.

Soon after the elections, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said the Bharatiya Janata Party will form the government and none of the workers should worry on this stand.
