Gurugram to act against builders securing fraudulent occupation certificates

Gurugram : Chairman of Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HARERA) in Gurugram K.K. Khandelwal said on Monday that builders who have fraudulently secured occupation certificate (OC) will face action.

He said those officials who will be found involved in the fraudulent act would also face departmental action.

Khandelwal was speaking as a chief guest at a seminar jointly organised by Manav Awaaj and HARERA Gurugram.

He further said that it is wrong that HARERA has diluted the provisions of central RERA (Real Estate Regulation and Development Act).

Khandelwal said that RERA provides single window solution to home buyers and in the event of non-delivery of homes as per the builder-buyer agreement, they can either claim penal interest or seek refund from the developers with interest.

"But it is always our first priority to ensure that home buyers get the possession of their homes", said the Khandelwal.
