Justice Sanjay Karol is new Tripura Chief Justice

Shimla : Justice Sanjay Karol of Himachal Pradesh High Court has been appointed Chief Justice of Tripura High Court. He was given a send off on Monday.

In a Full Court Address, Chief Justice Surya Kant described Justice Karol as an ideal judge as he possesses sterling qualities of head and heart".

He said Justice Karol is always eager to do substantial justice to the oppressed and deserving and has never allowed technicalities to overshadow the free flow of justice.

Justice Karol said "he feels proud in sharing that on the national index, the Himachal Pradesh High Court is amongst the top most high courts".

He said his motto has been to wipe out the tears of the litigants, especially the poor, for which he also adopted the methods of reconciliation and mediation and also proposed legal clinics at the Panchayat level.
