Pakistani music needs to be promoted better: Shafqat Amanat Ali

Lahore : Popular Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali says "beautiful fresh sounds and musicians" are emerging from his country, but there needs to be a system in place to promote the talent in the right way.

Shafqat on Thursday took to his Twitter account and wrote: "We have some absolutely great music coming out of our industry in Pakistan right now. Some beautiful fresh sounds and musicians as well as so much yet untapped folk and other music too. It really needs to be promoted better and more systematically."

The singer has himself carved a niche for himself. He was associated with Pakistani rock band Fuzon, and has also made his mark in Bollywood with songs like "Mitwa", "Yeh honsla" and "Dildaara".
