Ssumier to perform Kuchipudi dance in Mumbai

Mumbai : Actor-anchor-comedian Ssumier Pasricha, who is the brain behind the character Pammi Aunty, is returning to dance after 15 years. He will perform Kuchipudi dance here on Wednesday.

"Dancing came back in my life at the right time. I believe I was born to dance first then act. It is liberating and makes me feel one with the Lord. But the biggest change it has brought about is in my fitness and discipline," Ssumier told IANS.

"I'm training religiously in Kuchipudi now. Ten minutes of dancing equals an hour of cardio. It works for the entire body and acts as an amazing leg workout as you are constantly in squat position for Kuchipudi. This dance form is just not dancing for me, it's worshipping. You are never too old to learn anything new," he added.

Ssumier is a trained Kuchipudi dancer under celebrated dancers Raja and Radha Reddy.
