Woman commits suicide in West Bengal

Kolkata : A woman committed suicide in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district after being harassed for dowry, police said on Thursday.

"Puja Kundu, 21, was found hanging on Tuesday. Her mother has filed a complaint against her husband and mother-in-law for constantly harassing her for dowry," an official of Gopalnagar police station said.

He said that the husband is absconding while the mother-in-law has been arrested. The police are also looking at other possible angles.
