Nine-Day Rajasthan Utsav-2025 concludes at Bikaner House, New Delhi
New Delhi : Nine-day-long Rajasthan Utsav-2025 that celebrated Rajasthani art, culture, handicrafts, and cuisine, concluded at Bikaner House in New Delhi, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of Delhiites and the Rajasthani diaspora. The festival was organized by the Rajasthan Gramin Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (Rajeevika) that showcased handcrafted products by women from self-help groups (SHGs), reflecting the rich tapestry of Rajasthani culture and folk art.
Throughout the event, women artisans from various regions of Rajasthan captivated visitors and buyers at nearly 60 stalls, displaying their skills through live demonstrations. Mr. Ramesh Kumar, overseeing the festival on behalf of Rajeevika, shared that the artisans achieved sales exceeding ₹50 lakh. The stalls featured an array of items, including handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, organic products, and traditional Rajasthani delicacies, offering visitors a deep dive into Rajasthan’s cultural heritage and craftsmanship.
Mr. Kumar said that the sales not only provided economic empowerment to rural women but also brought national recognition to their products. Visitors praised the handcrafted goods, purchasing them in large quantities, a testament to the skill and creativity of these women artisans.
The Rajasthan Utsav-2025 was inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma at Bikaner House and featured engaging activities such as painting competitions, mehndi contests, golgappa-eating challenges, as well traditional games, with top participants receiving consolation prizes.
The event underscored the talent of Rajasthan’s women artisans, blending tradition with economic opportunity, with a lasting impression of the state’s vibrant legacy.
