Sania Mirza's sister Anam is now officially married to Asad

New Delhi : India's tennis star Sania Mirza's sister Anam on Thursday made an official announcement about her marriage with Asad, son of former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin. The two exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony last night.

While making the announcement about the marriage on social media, Anam attached a lovely picture of the couple from the ceremony. The photo shows Anam in a bridal outfit in shades of purple while the groom stands next to her in a beige and gold outfit.

"Mr and Mrs," Anam captioned the photograph, adding a part-face emoji after that. She also used the hashtag "#alhamdulillahforeverything" and "#AbBasAnamHi" - their wedding hashtag.

Sania Mirza had been sharing the glimpse from pre-wedding festivities and marriage on her social media account. Yesterday, she shared a series of photographs from Anam's pre-wedding celebrations.

Prior to this, she had shared the pictures from the Mehandi ceremony.
