Senior Journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh and Para-Olympic Committee President Parul Singh host Ram Navami celebrations in Dwarka

New Delhi : On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, a vibrant spiritual gathering was held at Katyayani Apartments in Dwarka, led by senior journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh and Mrs. Parul Singh, President of the Delhi State Para Olympic Committee.

The event was attended by  several eminent personalities from diverse fields. Among those who attended were former Member of Parliament and BJP Vice President (Uttar Pradesh) Neelam Sonkar, BJP Uttar Pradesh Vice President Rajendra Prasad Sonkar, Director at the Ministry of Home Affairs Ved Tandon, Chairman of Kamal, Vandana, and Trinity International Schools and President of Delhi BJP Teacher’s Cell, C.S. Paul (Former Director, NBCC) along with his wife Neelam Paul, Joint Secretary at NITI Aayog Sudhir Kumar, former Chief Engineer of CPWD R.A. Yadav, ONGC’s Chief General Manager (CSR) Jay Shankar, and NBCC Director Sunil Pandey. Also present was Rakesh Kumar Singh’s father, Jang Bahadur, retired Assistant Director from the Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The evening featured a beautiful tableau of Lord Ram, devotional music performances, and a collective aarti that brought together residents and guests. 

Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Kumar Singh said, “Ram Navami is not just a festival—it’s a reminder of righteousness, service, and responsibility. Our aim through this event is to bring people together and keep our cultural roots alive.”

Parul Singh extended her gratitude to all attendees and said, “This celebration reflects the values we hold close—unity, respect, and inclusivity. We were glad to see active participation from people of all age groups, including persons with disabilities and senior citizens. Going forward, we hope to continue this tradition and pass on these timeless values to the next generation.”

The event concluded with distribution of prasad. Residents of Katyayani Apartments and members of the surrounding community joined the festivities with enthusiasm and warmth.
