Astronauts playing badminton inside International Space Station (ISS)

New Delhi : Elon Musk garnered attention on February 6 by launching Falcon Heavy with a sports car placed on top, but another event on the same day is now trending on the social media that has happened for the first time.

Roscosmos - the Russian government space agency - released a video of astronauts taking part in first space badminton tournament inside the International Space Station.

The astronauts can be seen playing badminton in the space station’s larger modules with its own kind of rules, which are completely different from the one played on Earth.

In the first game, Russian cosmonauts Alexander Misurkin and Anton Shkaplerov faced off against Mark Vande Hei from the United States and Norishige Kanai from Japan.

When the second game began, Vande Hei was substituted for Nasa’s Joseph Acaba.
