New Delhi : Elon Musk's SpaceX has successfully launched 47 Starlink low-orbit satellite. The rocket lifted off at 9.25 a.m. EST (6.25 a.m. PST) on March 3 from pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

This was the ninth launch by SpaceX this year.

The satellites were attached to Falcon 9 rocket. The new 47 Starlink satellites join another 2000 satellites already orbiting around earth to improve the internet connectivity across the globe.

Starlink has an approval of extending its satellite network to 12,000.
