All eyes on Gold medal, says confident PV Sindhu

Glasgow : Indian shuttler PV Sindhu is just a step away from claiming the gold medal in the women’s singles final of BWF World Championships 2017. She will be facing Naomi Okuhara of Japan in Glasgow, Scotland.

"The aim is to win gold and I have to be focussed on that," she told PTI after beating Chen Yufei in the semi-final on Saturday.

PV Sindhu had earlier bagged a silver medal at the Olympics and now up on course to become the first Indian to win a gold at the showpiece event.

This will be the first time PV Sindhu will be playing World Championship final. She had earlier won two bronze medal and a silver medal in the competition.

India has won one silver (through Saina in 2015) and four bronze in the world championships before this edition in Glasgow.
