New Delhi : KL Rahul, India's star wicketkeeper-batsman, is undergoing rigorous rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. He is aiming for a return to the national team for the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled for June in the USA and West Indies.

Rahul underwent surgery last year for a quadriceps injury sustained during IPL 2023. Though he initially recovered, he experienced renewed discomfort and missed the recent Test series against England.

Despite this setback, reports suggest he remains in contention for the World Cup squad.  His recent social media post showcasing gym training highlights his dedication to regaining full fitness.

Rahul cut his trip to London short after the first Test due to a right quadriceps issue. After being ruled out of the remaining matches against England, he's back in India with his sights set on the upcoming IPL season.

The Lucknow Super Giants opener is expected to be fit and ready for their opening clash against Rajasthan Royals on March 24th.
