Sydeny : Australia is trying all possible things to save the game for them as India is inching closer to the victory in the third game. On the last day of the match Steve Smith's on-field action drew a lot of social media criticism for him and shame for team Australia.

A video of Australian batsman Steve Smith removing Rishabh Pant’s batting guards during the drink breaks has emerged out as a big debate topic, showcasing the desperate Australian side to do anything to save the game.

The incident happened when the players were busy having their drinks during a short break. Smith's actions were recorded in the cameras fitted inside the stumps.

Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara stitched a solid 148-run stand for the fourth wicket to give Australia a cause of worry.

Sadly, Pant could not complete his century and departed three run short from his ton. After Pant's departure, Pujara also got out in pretty quick succession after scoring 77 runs off 205 balls.
