Mumbai: Woman teacher molested at Wankhede stadium during IPL match,accused arrested

Mumbai : In a shocking incident at Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, A 22-year-old school teacher from Vile Parle was molested by a 26-year-old man during Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils Indian Premier League (IPL) match.

The accused has been identified as Gendalal Satnam arrested by Marine Drive police. Earlier today, he was produced before a local court, which sent him to a two-day police custody.

According to media reports, the accused allegedly works for a contractor at the Wankhede stadium. The incident is believed to have taken place near the Sachin Tendulkar stand.

"As our policeman saw the victim running behind Satnam, he was chased. The woman then narrated the matter and lodged a compliant with us. We have registered a case and have arrested the accused," A police officer hailing from the Marine Drive police station said to DNA.
