Delhi Para Olympic Committee President Parul Singh invites Chirag Paswan to International Para Games in Delhi
New Delhi : Delhi State Para Olympic Committee President Parul Singh on Tuesday met Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan at his office and extended a formal invitation to him for the upcoming International Para Games, to be held in New Delhi from September 26 to October 7, 2025.
More than 115 countries are expected to participate in the games, which are being hosted in the national capital later this year.
Parul Singh was accompanied by Satya Babu, National General Secretary of the Para Olympic Committee, along with Delhi Secretary Rahul Kasana, committee member Lalit, and senior journalist Rakesh Kumar.
The meeting focused on possible collaboration between the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and the Delhi Para Olympic Committee, particularly in areas related to nutrition and support for para-athletes. Singh briefed the minister on the committee’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and resources for athletes with disabilities.
Shri Paswan, who comes from Bihar, appreciated the vision and commitment of the Committee and expressed interest in expanding such initiatives to benefit para-athletes not just in Delhi but also in other states, including Bihar.
“We are committed to creating a proper environment for para-athletes, where nutrition, training, and infrastructure are given equal importance,” said Parul Singh. “I thank Shri Chirag Paswan ji for taking out time for this discussion and for showing interest in supporting para-athletes across the country.”
The International Para Games in Delhi will be one of the largest para-sporting events ever held in India, with preparations currently underway at multiple venues across the capital.
