MS Dhoni knocks Supreme Court door against Amrapali group over alleged cheating

New Delhi : Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has now moved to Supreme Court against the Amrapali group seeking possession of a penthouse in an Amprapali project, and also to include his name in the list of creditors of the real estate company.

In his plea, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has said that he had booked a penthouse in the Amrapali Safari in Ranchi. Also, the management had approached him for engaging him as a brand ambassador.

Mr Dhoni has said that he has been cheated, as the real estate company did not clear his outstanding -- the amount promised for its brand promotion -- and also did not grant possession of the penthouse.

Last Month, he had approached the Supreme Court seeking a direction to the Amrapali Group to clear Rs 40 crores outstanding amount for his services to the company.

From 2009 to 2016, MS Dhoni was selected as the brand ambassador for the company.
