Team India beat Pakistan in nail-biting world cup thriller by 6 runs

New York : India vs Pakistan is one of the most sought for cricket games; the two teams once again came to play against each other on Sunday during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan was left 6 runs short of the target as they faced defeat against India.

For Pakistan, the maximum number of runs were scored by Mohammad Rizwan (31) while the other batsmen could not even cross the 15-run mark. In fixed 20 overs, Pakistan managed to score only 113 runs, 6 runs short than the assigned target.

At first, rain hampered the game and it started with a delay. Pakistan's Babar Azam won the toss and invited India to bat first. The match started with a delay at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, where Rohit Sharma-led team India also struggled to score big runs against the pace attack of their arch-rivals.

Team India was bundled for 119 runs in 19 overs. Apart from Rishabh Pant, no other Indian batter could cross the 40 mark. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah took three wickets each, while Mohammad Amir and Shaheen Shah Afridi took two and one wickets, respectively.

Jasprit Bumrah picked up three wickets for India, while Hardik Pandya sent two batters to the pavilion. Also, Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh picked up one wicket each.

Towards the end, it was Team India who had the last laugh and won the game.
