New Delhi : Apple's latest smartphone iPhone 13 has started to arrive in India and while some people have already booked the device to get their hands first on it; there is a section of people who are making 'kidney' jokes related to the price of the smartphone.

Interestingly, a study by Money Supermarket has claimed that for an average Indian it will not be a cake walk to own an iPhone 13.

Particularly in India, the extra cost on the device in form of several taxes makes it a costly affair. Now, according to the research, an average Indian will have to work for 724.2 hours in order to afford an iPhone. This is approximately 30 working days.

Indians are second on this list, with the first place taken by the Philippines, where to own an iPhone, you’d have to work a whopping 775.3 hours.

The country where you can buy an iPhone with the least amount of work hours is Switzerland, where you’d need just 34.3 hours of work on minimum wage to afford one. Surprisingly, the US, the nation where Apple originates from, is third on the list with 49.5 hours.
