Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone sale in India today on Flipkart and Mi.com at 12 PM
New Delhi : Redmi 5A smartphone is set to go on sale in India via the Mi.com and Flipkart website, today at 12pm. The Redmi 5A smartphone will be available to purchase in the 16GB and the 32GB storage variant in today’s sale. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi was launched the Redmi 5A (2GB RAM variant) for Rs 5,999 in India on 30th November 2017.
Having shipped 9.2 million smartphones in the third quarter of 2017, the company now shares the top spot with South Korean giant Samsung, with a market share of 23.5 per cent, according to the International Data Corporation's (IDC) latest Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Q3 2017.

The 16GB storage variant of the Redmi 5A smartphone costs Rs. 5,999. The smartphone also comes in a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage version that will retail at Rs 6,999.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset and houses a 3,000mAh battery. Redmi 5A sports a 5-inch fully-laminated HD display. Redmi 5A sports a 5-inch fully-laminated HD display.
There is a dedicated MicroSD card slot that can expand the memory up to 128GB along with comes with two SIM card slots that support simultaneous use 4G network.
In terms of camera specifications, the device houses a 13MP primary camera with an aperture of f/2.2, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and flash and 5MP selfie camera.
It runs the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system (OS).The device also comes with an Infrared (IR) blaster. IR blaster is a device that emulates an infrared remote control to autonomously control a device that is normally controlled only by remote control key presses.
A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset fuels the device which gets the job done with ease without compromising on performance. We did not notice any significant lag in the device's performance or heating issues while running several apps and browsing videos on the Internet.

The smartphone will start retailing on Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores starting December 7 in dark grey, gold and rose gold colours.
