'Pinned Chats': WhatsApp new update for Android users released

New Delhi : WhatsApp, Facebook-owned Company, has rolled out new update – 'pinned chats' for its Android users. 

The new feature will allow users to pin their favourite chat on the app. 

According to a report by Indian Express, it has been learned that the feature was spotted earlier on the beta version and now it has been released for all Android users.

WhatsApp has also released a press statement saying, "With pinned chats, you never have to worry about scrolling through the long list of conversations to text your family members or your best friend. Users can now pin up to three of the most important group or individual chats to the top of their chat list for easy access - simply tap and hold a chat, and then tap the pin icon at the top of your screen".

Steps to update the app

# Go to play store

# Search Whatsapp Messenger in the search bar

# Tap on Whatsapp icon

# Click update

# The app will be reinstalled and users will be able to pin the chats.

Note: A total of 3 chats can be pinned.
